Who is responsible

What this policy covers

This policy describes what happens to personal data on this website only. It does not cover the data we process in the course of managing a property, which is governed by the management agreement with the owner, nor the separate client portal described below.

When you send an enquiry

The enquiry form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your telephone number. You also choose a subject and write a message. We use these details for one purpose: to read your enquiry, pass it to the right person in our office and reply to you.

We do not use your details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass them to anyone outside the firm except the service providers named below.

Legal basis. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You may withdraw it at any time by writing to us, and we will delete your enquiry unless we are required to keep it. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

How long we keep it. We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after we last dealt with them, then delete them.

Who else sees your data

This website is hosted by Netlify, which also receives and stores the enquiries submitted through the form. Netlify acts as our processor: it handles the data on our instructions and may not use it for its own purposes. Netlify is based in the United States, so your enquiry is transferred outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards Netlify provides for such transfers. To filter out automated spam, Netlify passes each enquiry to Akismet, a spam-detection service run by Automattic Inc. in the United States, which works for Netlify as a sub-processor. Netlify also stores the IP address from which an enquiry was sent, together with the enquiry.

Like any web host, Netlify records technical information when a page is requested, including the IP address making the request. This is used to serve the site and to keep it secure.

What this website does not do

This site sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no social media plugins. Nothing you do here is measured or profiled.

The typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from a font service, so no third party learns that you visited. Apart from the pages you request, this website makes no connection to any outside company.

The client portal

Owners and tenants in the buildings we manage use a separate client portal at drsteiner.domy-online.cz. That portal is a different system with its own operator and its own terms. This policy does not apply to it.

Links to other websites

Our contact page links to a map service so you can find our office. Nothing is loaded from that service until you choose to follow the link, and once you do, that company’s own privacy terms apply rather than ours.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you and to receive a copy of it. You may ask us to correct anything inaccurate, to delete it, or to restrict what we do with it. You may object to our processing, and you may ask to receive your data in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Write to office@drsteiner.cz and we will respond within one month. There is no charge for making a request.

Complaints

If you believe we have handled your personal data improperly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Czech supervisory authority: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, posta@uoou.gov.cz.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles personal data, we will update this page and change the date shown above.
